Growing up in the San Diego jazz scene, she was professionally performing with musicians such as Peter Sprague, Leonard Patton, Jennifer Leitham, and Matt Falker from the early age of 15. Her musical endeavors have taken her throughout the United States and Japan as a touring jazz vocalist.
Lizzi holds her undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas, where she had the opportunity to perform and/or work with artists including Bobby McFerrin, Danilo Perez, Jo Lawry, Sara Gazarek, Josh Nelson, Rosana Eckert, and Jennifer Barnes.
As a published songwriter and arranger, her original compositions have been performed by high school, collegiate, and professional vocal groups throughout the country and at the JEN (The Jazz Education Network) and ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) conferences. Progressive jazz publication NEXTBOP has described Lizzi's debut album "Lifelines" as "a stunning and deeply refined overture to what we can only assume will be a long and fruitful career."
Lizzi's love of music education and connecting with other people through song is one of the biggest driving forces in her life. Her joyful and holistic approach to teaching helps students from many backgrounds and ages find their voice as a musician.
