About ME

Welcome !

My name is Abigail Lindquist, I am a wife and a dog mom to an adorable, 105 pound Bernedoodle. My husband and I live in Wisconsin. We met at the University of Minnesota Duluth where we both graduated with our teaching degrees. I have my degree and license in Early Childhood general education and Early Childhood Special Education. I am currently seeking my Masters in Special Education, Specific Learning Disabilities. I will be graduating this December! I have been teaching for 7 years, having only taught general education. I started out teaching second grade and now teach a combination class of kindergarten and first grade. I have always had a passion for reaching my struggling students and I am thankful for the knowledge I have gained from the special education side of education. It has come in handy in my classroom. With that being said, as I have been teaching through the years I have realized the big gap in knowledge many general education teachers have when it comes to knowing how to best support their own students within an inclusive general education classroom. My hope with this website is to bridge the gap between the general education and special education world. It is everyone's best interest to help our students, why not work together? Therefore, though this website, I hope to offer helpful information for educators on executive functioning skills. I hope that educators can use this information to gain a better understanding of what students need, what those needs may look like and how to best support any deficits.
