Help Us Make Big (and small) Ideas Possible!
Throughout the year, special needs and opportunities arise that fall outside the PTO’s regular programs and annual budget. The Special Projects Fund allows families and community members to contribute directly toward meaningful improvements at Cogburn Woods—whether it’s a smaller project that can be completed quickly or a larger, long-term investment in our school.
These donations work alongside grants, PTO funding, school programs, and special partnerships within our community to help bring important projects to life. Every contribution, in any amount, helps move us closer to our goals.
What is an example of a Special Project?
Special projects may include campus improvements, playground or outdoor equipment, technology, enrichment resources, safety enhancements, and other needs identified in partnership with school leadership.
How are special projects determined?
Special projects are identified and prioritized in partnership with Cogburn Woods administration based on the school’s current needs, potential impact, available funding, and benefit to our students and school community.
Have an idea for a special project you would love to see at Cogburn Woods? We’d love to hear it! Please email us at cogburnpto@gmail.com.
Every child deserves a place to play, move, explore, and simply be a kid.
Cogburn Woods is working to create a $20,000 adaptive playground in a contained outdoor space designed with the needs of students in our AU program in mind.
CWE PTO is proud to help fund this special project and bring our school community together to help make it possible. This new space will give our students a safe and welcoming place to enjoy outdoor play, movement, and fun during their school day.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps move us a little closer. Together with other funding and community support, your generosity can help turn this much-needed space into a reality for our Cougars.
If you'd like to be part of making it happen, you can contribute through our Special Projects Fund below.
Thanks to the generosity of our CWE families and community, Special Projects funding has helped bring meaningful improvements to our school over the years. From spaces where our Cougars learn and play to improvements that support our teachers and staff, these projects continue to make a difference every day.
Installed at the front of campus, our electronic sign keeps families informed about school events, important dates, reminders, and celebrations.
Our playground pavilion added a much-needed covered area where students can gather, take a break, and enjoy a little shade from the Georgia sun.
Located in our gym, the Lü system uses interactive projection technology to turn movement into games, activities, and learning experiences our students can enjoy together.
The Media Center was transformed into a fresh, inviting space for our Cougars to read, learn, create, and explore.
These spaces received a much-needed refresh, creating a more comfortable and welcoming place for our teachers and staff to recharge during the school day.
