Why standards?

Why standards and why do kids need to know them? Kids need to know the concepts that we want the teachers to know. Understanding how concepts like SAMR and standards like ISTE fit into using technology and 21st century learning gives student trainers more background when presenting concepts and information to staff and faculty.
