Google Meet

What's it for?

Google Meet can be used to create a quick and easy video chat room. This can be used for group projects or just general hangouts with friends online. It's extremely simple to use and can be accessed with any google based account or even your school account.

Getting started:

When opening the webpage you will be presented with this page. (Picture below) From there you may either join a meeting by pressing "Use a meeting code" or you can create one by pressing the "Start a new meeting" tab. *Keep in mind when joining an existing meeting you will need the meeting code in order to join.*

Creating a meeting:

Once you have pressed the "Start a new meeting" tab you will be brought to this page. (Seen on right) Once here it's as simple as pressing start meeting!

Joining an existing meeting:

You can join a meeting one of two ways, one way it by joining directly by a link, the other is by pressing the "Use a meeting code" and enter in the meeting code for the designated chatroom. The code can be found at the end of the URL once a chat room is created. *Seen in top image: QTY-CWCW-WRB*

Chatroom basics:

The chat room itself is pretty basic when it comes to preferences. You can press the preset tab to share your screen. As well as view the other party members on the right or access the text chat. Below you can see the meeting details in which you can copy the link to the chat room. As well as mute your microphone, hang up, or disable your video camera.
