CVUHSD has a partnership with El Camino College to provide Dual Enrollment classes in CTE day classes and after school.
Benefits of taking a Community College class in High School:
ECC-CVUHSD sponsored classes & Textbooks are FREE!
These classes will grant you credits in high school (some will count as the value of an Honors/AP course = boosts your GPA) -Check with your College and Career Counselor, Guidance Specialist, and/or Counselor.
When applying to universities, you will be a stronger and more competitive candidate!
When applying to scholarships, you will be a stronger and more competitive candidate!
Higher chances of getting full-ride scholarships.
You can transfer some CC credits to the university/college you will be attending (check to see if they are CSU and or UC Transferable) = fewer classes to take when in college/university + you will save time + you will save money (FREE while in high school) + the more classes you take, helps ensure you graduate in 4 years or less from college/university.
