We are delighted to announce this new scholarship, initiated by John ('11) and Faith Burns, to honor Dr. Stephen C. Smith, the second director of the Governor's School.
As always, all donations to the CVGS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You will receive a tax letter acknowledging your gift, and your name will be listed among the donors in the Foundation's Annual Report.
In addition, if your donation totals $2,000 or more, your name will be engraved on the new CVGS Griffins Donor Recognition Wall in the CVGS Commons, and your gift will leave a lasting impression on the CVGS program, helping to inspire future students and families. The new wall includes three sizes of blocks available:
2" x 4" blocks at the $2,000 level, some of which are in place,
4" x 4" blocks at the $5,000 level, and
8" x 8" blocks at the $10,000 level (only three of these remain).
Once completed, the arrangement of $5,000 blocks in the left field will subtly reveal an 85, and in the right field, they will form a 25, commemorating the 40-year anniversary of the program.
To donate, you can either mail a check to
