Rehearsal Schedules

Schedules are released every 1-3 weeks based on the previous rehearsals and student needs as they arise. 

Our rehearsals are mostly based on script pages (in general order) and not all cast members appear or are needed on each page. At times a character member may appear on the page, but the cast member will not be requested. This is because we do not always rehearse a full page. 

For our Sound Effects/Prop Cast and Movement Cast, our rehearsal needs vary based on what is needed to create a sound effect, manage a prop or the movement type needed for that part of the scene.

Horarios de ensayo

How to prepare for rehearsals

• Character Cast: Please memorize your lines  and cues BEFORE your rehearsal for that scene: when do you speak or do an action? 

• Prop/Sound Effect & Movement Casts: These will be taught and practised during rehearsals. 

• Long hair needs to be pulled back at all rehearsals and performances for ALL cast members

• Scripts are needed at every rehearsal. 

• Please have a pencil and highlighter ready to make script notes.  

• Your script, and any supplied props/instruments, should be with you wherever you are rehearsing. 

• Please be on time!

Your Character & lines

• What is your character like? 

• How do you think your character might move in certain scenes? 

• Read the lines; is your character sad, happy, scared, angry? 

Sound Effect/Prop Cast & Movement cast

Sound effects, use of props, and movements will be taught during rehearsals. Cast members do need to read the script prior to rehearsals and should bring their script, a pencil, and a highlighter to every rehearsal.

• Long hair needs to be pulled back at all rehearsals and performances!

• Please no jewelry, watches or make-up during rehearsals or performances

Please follow CV District policy when coming to rehearsals or musical performances:

-It is important to ensure your child is not contagious and follows the 24 hour fever free guidelines. 

-The CV District policy is that if your child did not attend school (for a minimum of 4 hours) on the date of a school extra curricular activity, they cannot participate in that activity.  

Please follow the most current CV District policies in regards to Covid exposure or infection.
