About Mrs. Roberts-Tran

Hello, my name is Tina Roberts-Tran and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year!

Personal Life: I was married April 2018 and changed my name from Mrs. Roberts to Mrs. Roberts-Tran, but students and parents may still call me Mrs. Roberts. My husband and I welcomed our first child (daughter) December 2019. Her name is Elouise Marie, but we call her "Elle." Parenthood has been both rewarding and chaotic! I definitely have a new found appreciation for parents. In my spare time (pre-covid), I enjoy hiking, going to the beach, reading, watching Hockey (SJ Sharks), and spending time with my family.

My Educational Career: This will be my eighth year teaching at Stocklmeir Elementary and I am very proud to be a PANDA! I taught second grade for 2 years (2013-2015) and this will be my sixth year teaching Kindergarten this 2020-2021 school year! I received my Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies with emphasis of teaching and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San Jose State University. In August 2020, I received my Master of Science in Applied School Leadership through National University.

Although I have experience working in grades K-6, lower elementary grades K-2 hold a special place in my heart. My strength is in implementing well organized and creative lesson plans with various techniques that foster student learning and understanding. I believe that there are five essential ingredients that help create a successful learning experience and safe environment. These ingredients include: offering support to all students, promoting engagement, developing strong student-teacher relationships, maintaining high expectations for all students and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
