The Tiger Marching Band (also known as "TMB") is a voluntary performance ensemble that provides entertainment for all home football games and is competitive as well. 6-8 marching band performances occur from August through October, plus performances at Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades. At least one of these performances will happen on a university campus. Mandatory band camp begins two weeks prior to the first day of school. Once school begins, all students will practice every Monday after school from 2:30-4:00pm and every Wednesday evening from 5-9pm. Most Saturdays from mid-August to the end of October will either have a rehearsal or competition, with a few exceptions. The TMB is composed of wind players, the drumline, the front ensemble ("pit"), and the color guard. Any percussionists that do not audition for OR do not make it onto the drumline will be placed in the front ensemble. Every interested student is expected to be enrolled in either Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, or Percussion Ensemble as a curricular ensemble.
