What is Constructing Personal Archives?
CPA is a six-month-long incubation program for developing and pursuing archiving projects or archival research. Over the last four years and two editions, CPA participants have initiated and/or taken forward archive-building exercises for projects ranging from family histories to community narratives, institutional legacies, and personal practices.
How are CPA editions curated?
CPA is curated every two years, keeping in mind the time required for gestation and immersion behind building archiving projects. Each incubation program consists of two parts: learning and exchanges with peers and facilitators, and curating a prototype or an experience for public engagement and potential collaborations.
Who is eligible for Constructing Personal Archives?
There are no preset eligibility criteria for selection. If you are passionate about an archiving project or archival research and your application material can convince us, then you are in! In case of more applications received than the number of seats available, the selection is made based on the feasibility of incubating and offering relevant guidance for the submitted project.
