My feet hurt so much, Lord,
But I know Your feet hurt more
As You walked up the hill where
The weight of our sins You bore
And so I’ll try to be like You
I’ll offer up in prayer
The weight I have to carry,
The pain I have to bear
My heart hurts so much, Lord,
But I know Your heart hurts more
When You lose to temptation
All the ones whom You adore
And so I’ll try to be like You
I’ll hold on to the prayer
That loss won’t last forever,
This sadness I can bear
My head hurts so much, Lord,
But I know Your head hurt more
As pain gave You a halo
From the crown of thorns You wore
And so I’ll try to be like You
I’ll smile in my prayer
The trials I am given
Are ones that I can bear
My hands hurt so much, Lord,
But I know Your hands hurt more
As they were pierced with nails
By those You would die for
And so I’ll try to be like You
I’ll fold my hands in prayer
I’ll make my life a sacrifice
And suffering I’ll bear
