CONNECTICUT READS: The 2019 Governor's Summer Reading Challenge
This is an opportunity for students to read as much as possible, thus not limiting themselves to required reading. It is a statewide program coordinated by the Connecticut State Department of Education in conjunction with the Connecticut State Library.
Participants should complete a log or list of all books they read during the summer. The log and a suggested reading list, as well as additional information and printable materials, can be accessed at www.sde.ct.gov/sde/ctread.
English instructors will collect the logs on the first day of academic classes, and we ask parents and guardians to sign them before turning them in.
Be sure to record each book you read this summer in your Summer Reading Journal!
