Sophomores are required to read one (1) book to fulfill the summer reading requirement. Honors students must read two (2) books. Summer Reading assignments/projects are due on Friday, August 31, 2018 and can be handed in to your child’s English teacher. Summer Reading is 5% of each student’s English grade for the 1^st Marking Period. Below are the titles of books from which they may choose:

Fiction:

The Pearl by John Steinbeck

Nonfiction:

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
