Seniors are required to read one (1) book to fulfill the summer reading requirement. Honors students must read two (2) books. Summer Reading assignments/projects are due on Friday, August 30, 2019 and can be handed in to your child’s English teacher. Summer Reading is 5% of each student’s English grade for the 1^st Marking Period. Below are the titles of books from which they may choose:

Fiction:

Animal Farm by George Orwell

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

Nonfiction:

The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown

Hidden Figures by Lee Shetterly
