Student or parent fills out a Trial Class Request Form:
Staff confirms the trial class appointment via email or messaging.
2️⃣ Pre-Trial Assessment (Optional but Recommended)
Short online questionnaire to gauge Reading ability, Writing samples, Speaking confidence (self-rated), Helps teacher prepare the trial class appropriately.
3️⃣ Trial Class
Duration: 25 minutes
Teacher observes:
Speaking & Listening: Can student understand instructions? Can they respond?
Reading: Can they read words, sentences, or short passages?
Writing: Can they write simple words, sentences, or complete tasks?
Vocabulary & Grammar: Use age-appropriate assessment activities.
Teacher takes notes or fills a Trial Class Evaluation Form.
4️⃣ Assessment & Level Recommendation
Teacher scores or notes student performance:
Beginner / Elementary / Intermediate / Advanced (or your curriculum levels)
Strengths and weaknesses
Teacher recommends the most suitable class based on Trial class performance, Age and learning goals, Curriculum progression
5️⃣ Feedback to Parent / Student
Send a placement report:
Recommended class level
Suggested schedule
Trial class highlights / areas to improve
Include a link to register for the suggested class.
6️⃣ Enrollment
Student is officially enrolled in the recommended class
Provide course materials and schedule
Teacher adds the student to class management tools (Zoom links, Class Dojo, Kahoot)
