For a new dog owner, going through house training such as, potty training is essential. For some, this routine may be hard to get accustomed to, which leads to a lack of training. This lack of training leads to a lower quality of life for the owner and increases the chances of a dog being put up for adoption. Our project objective is to make this new routine easier to remember for the user. We created a device that can measure weight so when the owner puts food in the bowl on top of the device it will read the weight. Once the dog eats the food, the device will detect the weight change and send data to an Adafruit Feed. This feed is then used to alert the Android App we created. This app is used to store information about the user and their dog. Once the app gets the alert from the feed, a timer will start, and a notification will then appear when the timer is done. This notification will tell the user that it is time to take their dog out to use the bathroom.
