Description
Academic preparation, educational equity, and the achievement gap are crucial campus concerns. Reaching and supporting the learning of first generation students, who comprise an increasing proportion of our students, is a key pedagogical concern. This FLC will explore how classroom practices and teaching strategies can help first-generation CSUEB students succeed. Faculty should be prepared to implement a new pedagogical practice that addresses the academic needs of first-generation students into one of their Spring 2019 courses.
