We love to celebrate birthdays! We do not have class parties, but you are more than welcome to send a treat to share with your child’s class. Some suggestions of treats: cupcakes, cookies, cookie cake (pre-sliced), little Debbie snacks, etc.
Birthday snacks can be left in the office by noon.
**invitations for parties out of school must be sent for all students in the class**
Water bottle with name on it
Plushie or blanket for nap if needed
Beginning August 31st we will begin our parent involvement reading program called “Read to Me”!
This is how it works:
Each Monday your child will bring home his or her “Read to Me” folder. The folder will contain a book, activity sheet and reading log.
Read the book to your child and work on the activity sheet together.
Also, fill out the time log and leave it on the folder each week. We receive funding from the federal government for the amount of time parents volunteer in our program and this is one way to build up many hours of volunteer time.
Return everything in the folder each Friday and then Monday you will receive a new book.
It is very important that you return the books each Friday. If you misplace a book, please send a note in the folder and we will work on getting that replaced.
Thanks for your help and support of this wonderful family time activity!
Happy Reading!
Shoes: Your child will need tennis shoes for P.E. and recess everyday.
Extra Clothes: We recommend that students keep a change of clothes, labeled with their name, in their backpack (socks and underwear included). Make sure the clothes are seasonally appropriate.
Weekly Folders: Your child will bring home a folder at the beginning of each week. Please check the folder each week for important Pre-K and school wide information. Any events happening for the month will also be included on the calendar located in the folder. (ECSE folders will be sent home Friday)
Transportation changes: If you need to change your child's transportation for the day, please call the office and let them know by 2:30. They will send the information to your child's teacher.
Library: Your child will visit the library every Thursday. Please be sure to return the library book on/by that day.
