We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! In Fall 2026, CSISD will be opening a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center, offering hands-on programs in a variety of trades that will equip students with valuable skills for their future careers. This new facility will be located next to the Ag Science Center, which already supports FFA students with livestock projects.
The programs offered at the CTE Center will include:
Ag Mechanics
Automotive
Construction
Cosmetology
Welding
Animal & Wildlife Science
These programs will be available to high school students (grades 10-12), giving them the opportunity to explore careers in high-demand fields while still participating in pep rallies, dances, breakfast, lunch, fine arts, athletics, and other extracurricular activities at their home campus. Students will attend the majority of their classes at their home campus, and for their two CTE periods, they will be bused to the CTE Center.
Registration and Enrollment Information:
High School Students (grades 10-12): You will register for these courses using Xello, just like you would for any other classes, in the Spring.
7th & 8th Grade Students: You will have the opportunity to select CTE courses when you create your 4-year plan in Xello. This is a great time to begin thinking about your future career path and the exciting programs available at the new CTE Center.
No Transfers Required! Students will attend their home campus for most of their day and will only need to travel to the CTE Center for their specialized courses. This means there is no need to transfer schools; students will be able to stay involved in their current extracurricular activities, like fine arts and athletics, while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
We encourage all families, especially younger students, to start thinking about these exciting opportunities now. The new CTE Center will open doors to career readiness, internships, and real-world skills that can be a launching pad for future success.
