Art 2 Drawing students reviewed both the Elements of Art (line, shape, color, form, value, space, and texture) and Principles of Design (emphasis, balance, contrast, proportion, repetition, variety, pattern, and rhythm. Students explored utilizing a variety of drawing media including oil pastels, India ink, white conte crayon on black paper, drawing pencils (2H, 4H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and ebony), charcoals, Prisma Colors, permanent markers, and acrylic paints.
It was a joy to teach 4th period drawing 2 students. The projects we completed this year were prior to At Home Learning due to COVID 19 in chronological order included: Still Life, Candy Still Life, Shattered Value, White Conte on Black Paper, Hands in Action, Variation of Views, Positive/Negative Space Composition, Plexiglass Depth, and Three-Point Perspective drawings.. There are even two examples of reflections drawings from items found at home completed during the At Home Learning time.
