Art 1 students are introduced to the Elements of Art (line, shape, color, form, value, space, and texture). They also learned about the Principles of Design, in particular: emphasis, proportion, repetition, variety, pattern, and rhythm.
Each class period is presented below. The projects we completed this year were prior to At Home Learning due to COVID 19 included: Henna Hands, Color Emphasis Portrait, Art History Holiday Card, Foil Repousse Metal Relief, Color Wheel Designs, Pinch Pot Bowls, Scratch Art Animal, and Two-Point Perspective City. There are even two examples of patterns created from items found in nature that were completed during the At Home Learning time.
