Monica ROMAN

I have a position of full professor at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics of the Bucharest University of Economics, where I teach Business Statistics, Econometrics and Quantitative Research Methods at undergraduate and postgraduate level. As a PhD supervisor, I have coordinated so far five PhD students (three foreign) that have successfully graduated the Doctoral School of Statistics and Cybernetics.

Since 2011 I am affiliated as a research fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn and at the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) in Bratislava.

My research interests focus on international migration, labor economics, policy evaluation, and are mainly related to former communist countries from Central and Eastern Europe.
