Our idea is to create a community website that people can access to reduce incidents about school violence. Our community website will provide a safe, anonymous space where students can report concerns, access mental health resources, and connect with supportive peers and professionals. By combining prevention education, emotional support, and community involvement, we aim to reduce incidents of school violence and create a culture where students feel heard, protected, and valued.
ADDRESSING SCHOOL VIOLENCE
School violence is a huge issue in our community, it impacts students, educators, and many other people. it includes a range of behaviors, from bullying and harassment to physical assaults and even school shooting. This demeanor can be caused by many experiences such as family instability, mental health issues, peer dynamics and easy access to weapons can be a big risk for students. Addressing school violence should be handled with precaution we can do this with mental health programs and help from the community. School violence doesn't happen without warning. It's often linked to family instability or domestic violence, untreated mental health problems, social pressure and group dynamics, exposure to violence in the media or community, and many students who act violently are experiencing emotional pain but lack healthy ways to express it. Most students are not violent, and most schools are safe. However, even rare incidents can have devastating consequences, so prevention and early support are critical.
It can be incredibly difficult for a student to speak up about a fight happening at school, especially due to fear of revenge or being labeled a "snitch." They may worry that reporting the incident will make them a target, or they may feel uncertain about whom to trust. Without a supportive environment these fears can be paralyzing, leaving many students feeling alone and voiceless. This is why making a program where students can make anonymous reports and not feel like their safety is at risk.

How is our policy constitutional?
Our policy is constitutional because it's a public site on a public forum, everybody who should be seeing this has access to it. We have the right to post this due to our first amendment rights. This policy doesn't violate anybody's rights, if a parent doesn't want a child to see the website, we would have age verification to prevent the wrong people from seeing this.
Who would enforce this policy?
We would want the Department Of Education to enforce this policy to make sure schools are advertising it.

This is the sandy hook promise, this website was made after a school shooting that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary school. This program was funded by the members who lost family to the tragedy. They claim that they are made to prevent gun violence in school and any other kinds of school violence. If we were to make a program like this, and give kids an opportunity to freely report issues like this, it can help students feel safer at school. Sandy hook promises states, "This will help prevent gun violence and stop the tragic loss of life."
