Greetings, Thunderbolts!
Here you will find vignettes and poems written by several 9th-grade students at Cranston East. All of these writing pieces are in honor of our school. The poems were inspired by Diane di Prima's poem "Song For Baby-O-Unborn." We've also created a Google Slide with some useful tips on achieving success in school. These tips will be helpful for anyone interested in learning how to study better and stay organized, which will help you with your schoolwork.

"Inside The Mind"

Nerves have you shaken
Opening the doors to a new chapter in your life
New faces gather around, new situations
A place to start your future
Nerves swell leaving you gasping for a way out
A mysterious wonder
Questions around that have not been answered
Old fears come to the surface
A familiar face emerges from the crowd
The warmth of their hand to guide you
Sports are starting
Clubs are now available for joining
“Why was I ever nervous?”
A sense of belonging

Nobody can tell you
You might not be alone or scared or lost
but Cranston East is always the best

Fantastic school
