Welcome to the Navigation section! This page will hopefully help you find your way around our campus. Please note that as of the year 2022-2023, all students must enter school in the morning through the gym doors located on the side of the Main building.
The Main Building is located at 845 Park Avenue. It's bigger than the Briggs Building, and most of your classes and activities will take place here.
The Briggs Building
The Briggs Building is located at the corner of Park and Pontiac. Students have to exit the Main Building and walk past City Hall in order to enter the Briggs Building. Don't worry about getting lost, just follow the crowd.
Fun fact: Briggs used to be the original Cranston High School. The Main Building was built in 1925 about 25 years after Briggs. Main was built due to the original school becoming too small for the number of kids attending it at the time.
Here is a video of how to read your schedule and how to navigate between buildings.

Lunchrooms
If you are scheduled to have "Main Lunch," then you will be eating in the largest lunchroom in the Main Building. The Senior Cafeteria is also located in the Main Building. Usually, this space is only reserved for seniors, but with Covid regulations, other students have been assigned to eat in there this year. It is a smaller lunchroom but still just as nice to eat in. The last lunch you could have on your schedule is "Briggs Lunch." This lunchroom is located in the Briggs Building and it is the smallest of the three. It has a fancy microwave.
This is where everyone "main"ly is for lunch.
Senior Perk for our 12th graders :(
Located in the basment of Briggs.
Important Areas
So you might be thinking, what are important areas to the East community? Well, we have some answers for you. All areas are technically important, but some areas are more important than others. The gym is definitely an important landmark. It's everyone's favorite place to be at the end of the school year when it's 90 degrees out. The gym is located on the far left side of East if you are facing the Main Building. The auditorium is a pretty cool area; just don't tumble down the stairs and don't sit behind the poles. You'll know what I mean once you get here. It's located right in front of the main entrance. You can also access it from the lower floors near the art a tech rooms. The Main Office is pretty easy to find. Right. Lies. Let me help you. The Main Office is located at the top of the steps to the main entrance. Walk up the stairs and then STOP!! (Or you'll miss it!) You're welcome.
"Why is it so warm in here?"
"Steep steps... Beware!"

Different Floors In Main
There are four floors in the Main Building. Good luck with all the stairs :) The bottom floor, or the 100s-level, will house most of your art rooms and tech rooms. Also, the lower floor leads to the auditorium and main lunchrooms. The second floor, or the 200s-level, houses the Main Office, OSS, the Nurse's Office, and the Library Media Center. The third floor, or the 300s-level, has the Guidance Office and JROTC rooms. The last floor, the 400s-level, has classes and science labs.
Nurse's Office
"Icepacks solve everything."
OSS
"Don't get called down to OSS."
Library
"A fun place to get work done."
Guidance Office
"Come here if you need some help with your schedule, goals, etc."
If you have any other questions or you get lost, just start running in any direction; eventually, you'll find where you're going. But, seriously, everyone is super nice about helping you find your way. Don't worry too much.
