Being on a team is the opportunity of a lifetime. It does not matter what type of team an individual may join, but there is something special about becoming more than an individual. We are all individuals and unique in our own way. Being who you are is the most crucial part of what makes a team work.

As a football coach, teamwork is the most important part of my job. It takes various personality types and skill sets to achieve our common goals. If a team plans to succeed, each person must do their part and learn to rely on their teammates. That makes us all leaders. We gain confidence from each other and learn to motivate our peers. From the players to the coaches, it is important that we see the value in each other.

Life-long friendships are built on teams every year. Whether on the field or in the classroom, teammates are always there. Wins, losses, tears, and laughter. Bonds are built through these experiences that last forever.
