Course Planning
Creating a 4-year plan is essential to each scholar's progression at CRLS. It begins with course planning and selection.
Things to consider:
You do not need to know what you want to do for the rest of your life in the 9th grade.
Explore elective options in the 9th and 10th as much as possible grades to better understand what you enjoy.
Each year, we like to see scholars choose courses that challenge them appropriately.
Students hoping to attend the most competitive 4-year college should take 3 or more levels of their language.
While our graduation requirement is 2 levels of a language, many competitive colleges require at least 3.
In addition to completing local graduation requirements, in accordance with federal and state law requirements, students must pass the English, Math, and Science portions of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) to graduate from CRLS and receive a CRLS diploma.
Students must receive a minimum score of 470 on the English, Math, and Science exams. Students who do not pass the English, Math, and Science MCAS but have completed local graduation requirements receive a Certificate of Attainment.
