Our Mission:
The purpose of this organization is to stimulate interest in the study of the Italian language, to give recognition for distinguished achievement in Italian, and to promote an understanding and appreciation of the Italian culture and civilization.
Criteria for acceptance: Candidates must have
achieved an average of 90% or above in Italian for the three semesters of high school prior to invitation.
maintained a general scholarship average of 80% or above.
*Students may continue their active membership for one year after the termination of their study of Italian.
Requirements: Members must
regularly attend meetings
be willing to serve as tutors for the lower levels of Italian.

(Spanish Honor Society)
Our mission:
The Spanish Honor Society recognizes high student achievement in Spanish. Our aim is to promote further interest in Spanish, educate and spread the Spanish culture throughout our community. The Spanish Honor society builds up language skills, personal attitudes and cultural understanding, which are necessary to experience life-using Spanish to connect to others.
Criteria for acceptance: Candidates must have
A final grade of 90 or better in Spanish II
A cumulative average of 90 for the first two quarters in Spanish III
Member of the A or B Honor Roll
Students will be selected by their Spanish III teacher for consideration
Serious consideration is given to integrity, honor, responsibility, and citizen and service/commitment to others
Requirements: Members must
Attend to all the meetings and be an integral part of fundraisers
Partake in the tutoring program during the spring semester of their induction year and availability thereafter as needed
Projects:
Decorating the bulletin board in the quad for Spanish Heritage Month
Track or treat – a Halloween activity for younger students
Thanksgiving- collection of non-perishable boxes of food provided to less fortunate community members
Bake sale
