Work-Based Learning Seminar Course (73891) - one-credit course for 11th and 12th-grade students. The student will be introduced to a work-related learning experience where they develop hands-on work experience in an occupational field and gain the relevant knowledge and skills required to enter into a particular career field. The WBL Seminar course will help develop professional work habits, provide an understanding of corporate cultures, and offer a platform to compare differences in work styles. Students must complete at least six hours of on-the-job training weekly in a high-quality work-based learning experience. Students must complete an internal assessment in the form of a presentation, resume, career assessment, and essay that addresses the students’ skills, attitudes, and awareness of the career field of the work-based learning experience. An approved course application and training agreement is required.
