Grow Our Own Program

The purpose of the program is to introduce high school students to a work-related learning experience that will allow them to develop hands-on skills in departments within our school district. Students also received course credit through a Work-based Learning Seminar class with Chesapeake CTE online in conjunction with their paid internship experience.

• 55 Rising Juniors & Seniors

• Placements across 14 CPS departments

• 40-hour paid internship

• $15 hourly

• WBL Seminar virtual Course = 1 Credit
