Taft High School is proud to offer the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) authorized since 2001.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a rigorous pre-university course of study culminating in global exams and assessments in the 11th and 12th grades. To prepare students for the full diploma program, Taft offers students a high honors and advanced placement curriculum in six core subject areas: English, World Language, History, Science, Mathematics, and the Arts.

Exclusive to IB Diploma Candidate Experiences
The IB Diploma Programme offers challenging one-year and two-year pre-university courses for students in the 11th and 12th grade. Courses require a student’s full commitment in completing all assessment components and examinations. Both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) courses receive advanced level credit (6 point grade scale). Diploma courses can lead to a qualification and COLLEGE CREDIT* IN SCHOOLS WORLDWIDE.
FULL DIPLOMA candidates (IB DP) - must choose one Diploma course from each of the following subject groups: Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, the Arts|1 year course, and Language Acquisition, as well as TOK|EE course and CAS experience. THREE COURSES must be HL and the remaining at SL
