Student Success Stories

A collection of short success stories of students who went through the Early College program at Goode. Each student has their own unique story, background, and experience in the program. Not all of them took the same route after graduating, but they all ended up pursuing their individual goals.

Azzaria D.

Azzaria completed her Associate in Science in Web Development at Daley College in Summer 2017. Azzaria earned a spot in IBM’s summer internship program, and as a result she was hired full-time as a technical services specialist.

Daleah S.

Daleah graduated high school with both her Associates degree and her high school diploma. She was Valedictorian of the graduating class of 2018. She earned a spot as an IBM intern during her time in the early college program, and went on to be offered a full time job working for IBM in 2019.

Cheyenne H. & Devin T.

Cheyenne & Devin both graduated early and earned both their high school diploma and AS degree in December of 2018. Devin has his Associates Degree in Computer Science, and he is attending Northern Illinois University to study business administration. Cheyenne has her Associates Degree in Computer Science, and she is attending University of Illinois to study Psychology.

Leonardo G.

While taking rigorous classes both at CCC and CPS, Leonardo was able to graduate with his Associate’s Degree from Daley college in the Spring of 2019 and earn his HS diploma simultaneously. While maintaining the status of second in his graduating class, he earned over 70 college credits. He is attending the University of Urbana-Champaign to earn his degree in Engineering.

Alan Q.

Alan graduated as the Valedictorian in 2019 while he worked to attain his Associate’s Degree and HS diploma simultaneously. He broke the record for the number of college credits earned in 2019, earning approximately 80 college credits while in high school. He graduated with 5.2 GPA. He received a full ride scholarship to UIC to study Civil Engineering.

Imani E.

"I got the opportunity to say a speech at an apprenticeship networking event , meet the mayor , as well as introduce the mayor . None of this would be possible without the early college program."

Imani graduated earning both her high school diploma and her Associates degree. She is attending the University of Illinois and will earn her degree in computer science. She is currently working for JPMorgan Chase.

AMA: Goode Alumni & IBM Employee, Azzaria Douglas

Azzaria came to Goode to do a live Ask Me Anything in our hack lab that was streamed on youtube and broadcasted to our Goode students.

Taia. D

While simultaneously taking rigorous classes at both CCC and CPS, Taia was able to graduate with her Associate’s Degree in Associates of Applied Science in Computer Science. She also completed 2 certifications. Taia earned a spot in IBM as an intern for Goode's IBM liaison. She was truly a vital member of the Early College program.

Taia is attending Loyola University in the Fall of 2021, majoring in Cyber Security. After her bachelor's she plans to continue her education and possibly go back home working for IBM.


Aryss. A

"I valued determination and perseverance, to help me complete my challenging class. Participating in the Early College Program prepared me to for life after high school. Thanks to this program I know I can challenge myself and succeed."

While being the President of B.O.S.S, a member of the National Honor Society, and Captain of the Debate team, Aryss earned over 35+ college credits from CCC. Aryss will become a Nurse Anesthetist, but first, she will attend Saint Xavier University.
