A Vision for Equity, Research, and Collective Action
Over the past several years, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) has taken tangible strides to reaffirm its commitment to a rigorous, equitable, and joyful daily learning experience for all of our students. As the district has strengthened its focus on equity in education, we have also strengthened our focus on equity in research.
The Equity-centered Research Approach (EqRA) will empower the district and its collaborators to focus on actionable and targeted research that speaks to community needs and results in research findings that can be used to improve student outcomes at scale.
EqRA is comprised of three components—the Framework, the Tools, and the Agenda—which build on our foundations and work together to provide a clear path forward for what it looks like to engage in equity-centered and vision-aligned research in Chicago Public Schools.
