We investigated public safety factors contributing to Chicago's labor market. We specifically focused on thefts, robberies, burglaries and homicides.
In the 5 neighborhoods with the most shootings, the majority of the populations are black, however there is one outlier where the majority of the population is Hispanic/Latino. With these new graphs not only can we tell the trends in crimes committed per year but also what zip codes are facing the most shootings. Utilizing this data, we were able to see the zip codes with the highest number of shootings reported and investigate more about why these zip codes might be the highest.
