Uniform Standard

All members must be in full uniform at all times while on tour.  The uniform consists of:

• Uniform shirt (see below for full details)

• Navy uniform pants (cargo or regular)

• Black belt (duty belt or regular belt, both are fine)

• Black work boots with some form of a safety toe

• Additional items to have with you during tour:

  • Stethoscope

  • BP Cuff

  • Trauma Shears

  • Penlight

  • Flashlight

  • 2 black pens

  • Oxygen key

  • Wristwatch capable of counting seconds for vitals

  • Work gloves (to protect your hands from broken glass, etc.; available at any hardware store)

  • Your NYS EMT card, photo ID, and CPR card

  • Suggested: a belt case to several sets of hold latex gloves (we have plenty of these, ask your crew)

• Optional additional/substitute items:

  • Half-zip “job shirt” (EMS/ESU style), with same patches as the Uniform Shirt

  • Waist length navy jacket, with same patches as the Uniform Shirt (there is no need to purchase this – we have enough of various sizes to borrow during tour)

  • For Bike EMS team in warm weather: Navy shorts and dark sneakers instead of pants and boots

All of the above items are available at the following Uniform Vendors.  You must bring your CPMU Photo ID and EMT Card to the store to verify membership.  If you do not yet have a CPMU Photo ID, request a letter of authorization from the VP of Administration.
