Active CPMU members may take a leave of absence from CPMU if they are unable to fulfill the membership commitments.
Available to Active members only
Members much have a specific circumstance (i.e. school or military commitment) that prevents them from volunteering.
(Simply not having enough time to volunteer is not a valid reason for a LOA)
CPMU members must have a valid EMT certification in order to qualify for a LOA.
CPMU members on leave are not permitted to volunteer during their leave unless permitted by the President, VPO or VPA.
When a CPMU member returns from a leave, the member is expected to fulfill all membership commitment requirements. Probationary members are expected to return and resume the commitment requirements and the training to ultimately obtain a promotion to "Active" status.
CPMU LOA is not indefinite. CPMU LOA will be granted for a term of one year, at which time a member may re-apply for an extension of the LOA. Members must still have a valid EMT certification at the time of a LOA extension to qualify.Â
LOA requests must be emailed to admin@cpmu.com with a justification for your leave
Email admin@cpmu.com when you want to end the LOA and resume volunteering
If at any time you are unable to continue your leave and will not be able to return to CPMU, email admin@cpmu.com with your resignation from the Unit
