Promotion from Probationary to Active Status

The main purpose of the Probationary period is to develop members who are both competent EMTs and who are very familiar with CPMU-specific operations.  This requires a significant investment of time with the unit, so members develop the innate ability to communicate with all related agencies, understand the geography of the park and surrounding healthcare facilities, and represent the Medical Unit well both on and off tour.  Requirements to request promotion to Active status:

• A completed Challenge Card

• 3 or more positive evaluations from Primary EMTs or Crew Chief’s

• Regular attendance at CPMU monthly meetings

Once you have met the above requirements, please email a photo/scanned copy of your completed Challenge Card to promotions@cpmu.com.
