9th Grade Principal
Mrs. Denise Shepherd
Hello everyone! My name is Denise Shepherd and I have the privilege of serving as one of the 9th grade counselors here at East Coweta High School.
Some of you may know me as a former counselor at Arnall MS for nearly 10 years. I’m sure we will all miss being Arnall Knights, however, it’s truly a special opportunity being here with the entire class of 2029 as you all begin this exciting journey at East Coweta High School as Indians!
As your counselor, my primary goal is to ensure that students have the support and resources that are needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. From academic planning and course selection to helping to prepare for college and careers, I'm here to provide guidance, encouragement, and support every step of the way.
High school can be an exciting yet challenging time for students as they navigate new experiences and opportunities. But please know that you are not alone in this journey. Together, we'll work as a team to address any concerns, overcome obstacles, and celebrate successes.
Mrs. Elexia Walton
Hello! I’m Elexia Walton, and I’m thrilled to be your school counselor at East Coweta High
School.
I have the pleasure of working with students in the Class of 2028 (10th grade) and the Class of
2029 (9th grade) whose last names fall within the L–Z range. I’ll be here to support you
throughout your first two years of high school as you begin your journey at ECHS.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University and a Master’s degree
in School Counseling from Georgia State University.
I am dedicated to helping students thrive both academically and personally. I provide guidance
in academic planning, social-emotional growth, and exploring future career paths. My goal is to
foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, understood,
and inspired to reach their full potential.
I’m truly excited to be part of your high school journey, and I look forward to supporting you as
you grow, learn, and reach your goals. It’s an honor to be part of your experience as an East
Coweta High School Indian!
Welcome to East Coweta High School! My name is Mrs. Fisher, and I am the 9th Grade Administrative Assistant. I am thrilled to have you join us and start your high school journey.
My role is to support you and ensure that your transition to high school is as smooth as possible. Whether you need help with your schedule or have questions, I am here for you. You can find me in the Sharpsburg Office, and my door is always open.
I look forward to meeting each of you and helping you have a successful and enjoyable year at East Coweta High School. Welcome to the ECHS family!
Mrs. Fisher
We want to introduce you to an important part of our school community: our School Resource Officers (SROs). The primary purpose of SROs is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
Here’s how SROs contribute to our school:
Safety and Security: SROs help maintain a safe school environment by being present on campus, monitoring activities, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
Crime Prevention: They work to prevent crime by building positive relationships with students and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
Law Enforcement Education: SROs provide valuable education on laws, safety procedures, and responsible behavior, helping students understand the importance of following rules and regulations.
Support and Mentorship: Beyond their role in security, SROs are approachable and available to support students with guidance and mentorship. They are here to listen, advise, and help you navigate any challenges you might face.
Emergency Response: In the event of an emergency, SROs are trained to respond quickly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone on campus.
