We have 2 Bell Schedules at ECHS. Mentor Monday Bell Schedules every Monday and then a Normal Bell schedule from Tuesday-Friday each week. The bell schedule can change for the following reasons:
Required Testing (PSAT/EOC)
Safety (Weather/Codes)
Medical Emergencies
Thirty extra minutes is allotted to spend time with your mentor teacher. Your mentor teacher will be your third block teacher. This time is dedicated to help you feel encouraged and supported. Your mentor teacher will spend this time reviewing your overall progress as well as providing information that will help you be successful in high school and beyond.
You will have this schedule Tuesday-Friday of each week. The schedule will only be altered for the reasons listed above.
Every day you will go to four blocks. Each block is 80-90 minutes long. You arrive at school during 0 block between 8:00 am -8:29 am. At 8:15 am you will be released to go to your 1st Block class listed on your schedule. There is no homeroom in high school. You will have approximately 7 minutes to transition from one block to the next. You need to familiarize yourself with the schedule. Being tardy or absent comes with consequences. There is a warning music alert that rings during transition periods. The warning music means that you have one minute to get to class. When the music ends and you are NOT in your seat in your classroom, you are TARDY! 4th block ends at 3:30 pm.
Tardy: Being Tardy means that you are not in your designated classroom and in your seat when the bell rings. Tardies will equate to behavioral consequences up to school suspension. Be where you need to be when you need to be!
If you are not in class by 830 AM you must have either a bus pass, a late note from attendance or a Securly pass created at attendance before you can go to first block.
When the semester changes you will have four different blocks. First semester ends December 17th, 2025 and second semester begins on January 2nd, 2026.
You will go to lunch based on the area of the school that you are in during 3rd block and based on the content of the class that you are in during 3rd block. Students in the main building will eat lunch in the main cafeteria. Students in the Sharpsburg building will eat lunch in the cafeteria located in the Sharpsburg building. Students are not allowed to eat in an unauthorized cafeteria. Unauthorized cafeteria is any cafeteria that is not in the building located in your 3rd block class.
Students have 25-30 minutes to eat lunch every day. Students or parents are not allowed to have any food delivered to the school using a delivery service such as DoorDash, etc. In the event, food is delivered, the food will be discarded. Parents are welcome to drop off food for their child in the front office ONLY. Parents will be verified on infinite campus. Students will not be called out of class to collect food from the front office. Students who have food delivered can receive disciplinary actions.
