Current 8th

Most kids from Grade 8 Math will go to Algebra 1 CP - 301 and those struggling students identified as needing more time to complete Algebra 1 over 2 years in our Concepts program. STAR results from previous years will guide these decisions along with teacher recommendation.

Current Algebra 1 students will take Geometry Honors! VERY few, if any, may go to Geometry CP, if they really struggled through Algebra 1. Students who struggled through Algebra 1 may need to take it again, possibly in Algebra 1 Honors or in CP.

• Start with ALL kids going to Geo Honors.

• The kids that make you uncomfortable, put them in CP.

• The kids that you, as a teacher, find a tough time challenging, encourage them to double up with Alg 2 H also.

The top pathway of doubling up (Geometry H and Algebra 2 H or CP) is for ONLY THE ELITE!!! Strong skills, habits, and thrives on learning Math.
