Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am eager to be working with you and your child this year! It’s going to be a year that’s full of fun learning experiences and obstacles, that I know with God’s guidance, we will work through together.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Michael, for eleven years this past June. We have a daughter, Avery who just turned six years old. Avery will be in first grade with me this year! Our son, Connor, will be 3 at the end of August. He will attend Costa preschool this year! We have a loud, crazy beagle, Copper, who is 12 years old. They take up most of my free time, but some of my hobbies are doing anything active outside, reading, and DIY projects! My husband and I decided to move our family back to our hometown of Galesburg about 6 years ago! We LOVE being closer to both of our families!

I attended Bradley University for my Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education and graduated in 2010. I earned my Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene in 2015.

After graduating from Bradley, I taught in Buffalo Grove, IL for 6 years. I taught pre-kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. After moving back to Galesburg, I taught fourth grade in Abingdon for 2 years and then was the Writing Instructional Coach for grades K-4 in Abingdon & Avon for 2 years. I am VERY excited to be entering my second year teaching first grade at Costa and couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Costa Catholic Academy family.
