Welcome to a vibrant tradition at Cosmos Primary - The Learning Celebrations Parade. Rooted in our teaching philosophy of 'teaching for mastery,' this festive event highlights the personal and academic achievements of our students in our reading and math programs.
The 'teaching for mastery' approach is integral to our educational ethos at Cosmos Primary. We continuously assess our students, ensuring that they fill and master any learning gaps before advancing to the next stage of their educational journey. As our students accomplish significant milestones, we celebrate their progress through the Learning Celebrations Parade, marking their triumphs with certificates of achievement.
Our Learning Celebrations Parades occur twice a month. For our Key Stage One students, the Parade takes place every second Friday of the month, while our Early Years students have their celebration on the last Friday of each month. This tradition allows us to regularly celebrate our students' growth, creating a culture of appreciation and encouragement.
However, the Learning Celebrations Parades serve a purpose beyond just celebrating academic milestones. They are not a platform for competition, but rather, a celebration of each student's unique learning journey. The certificates awarded are not prizes, but affirmations of each student's personal growth and commitment to their learning.
At Cosmos Primary, we aspire to cultivate a growth mindset among our students, instilling the belief that everyone can learn and improve. We value each student's progress, and through the Learning Celebrations Parades, we acknowledge and celebrate these strides. By setting personal goals and working towards achieving them, our students learn the joy of self-improvement and the love for learning.
The Learning Celebrations Parades reinforce our commitment to nurturing lifelong learners. Together, let's celebrate the joy of learning at Cosmos Primary!
