Boosting Vocabulary, Building Community, and Helping Children in Need

At Cosmos Primary, we are deeply committed to fostering a strong community of actively engaged parents and students. Through innovative engagement activities, such as our annual Pi-Memory Challenge, we have seen the power of shared learning experiences in strengthening our community ties. Now, we are excited to announce a fresh initiative that further embeds our community into a wider global context - the Freerice.com website.

Freerice.com is a multifaceted educational platform. While helping users enhance their vocabulary in a fun, interactive way, the platform also contributes to alleviating global hunger. For every correct answer on the site, 10 grains of rice are donated via the World Food Programme to help malnourished children worldwide.

Under this new initiative, we are inviting all parents to create accounts on Freerice.com and join the 'Cosmos Primary' group using the Group Code: AKE9XN9D. Through regular play, you will not only be honing your vocabulary but also contributing to an essential humanitarian cause. To stoke a healthy competitive spirit and keep motivation high, a leaderboard will track the top contributors from our community.

Moreover, we highly encourage parents of Key Stage One and Two students to create separate accounts for their children using the school Email IDs. This will allow our younger students to participate in this unique learning experience, broadening their vocabulary and nurturing their understanding of social responsibility from an early age.

This initiative holds immense promise. It provides an avenue for parents to enhance their own language skills, instills a sense of unity and competition within the community, and emphasizes the importance of social responsibility to our students. All the while, our collective efforts will help combat global hunger.
