At Cosmos Primary, we have been championing healthy eating habits through the implementation of the Eatwell Plate model. This visual guide has proven to be an excellent educational tool for teaching our students about balanced nutrition and proper food proportions.

Building on this foundation, we are expanding our healthy eating program to create a broader impact. Here's our comprehensive plan:
Use language of the Eatwell plate during snack/lunch times
Bring children’s attention to the Eatwell plate display as many times as possible
Have students categorize their lunch items according to the Eatwell plate sections
Create simple food-related games during meal times (e.g., "spot the protein")
Encourage students to be "nutrition detectives" and identify healthy choices
Start a "healthy eating buddy system" where students support each other in making balanced choices
Use meal times to discuss where different foods come from and their nutritional benefits

To extend our impact beyond the school walls, we shall aim to:
Organize parent workshops on nutritious meal planning
Create a dedicated page on the school website sharing healthy recipes, meal plans and tips
Establish partnerships with local nutritionists and health professionals
Host community health fairs promoting balanced nutrition
Our initiative includes regular awareness sessions for Cosmonauts, introducing them to various nutritious foods and encouraging creative meal preparation. Parents will receive guidance on incorporating diverse snacks, fruits, and nuts into their children's diets while respecting individual preferences.
