  8th Literature 

• This week's AoW is about the history of haunted houses. Reaction and quiz are on Thursday. No ouija boards allowed on the quiz.

• Students will turn in their book club project on Tuesday. 

• We will read the short play "A Defenseless Creature". We will watch a performance, discuss decisions the director made, and students will perform one part of the play.

8th English

• Vocabulary activity is due on Thursday

• We will take Nouns test on Monday, then begin a quick review of subject/predicate and fragments and run-on sentences.

6th Literature

• AoW this week is about the history of haunted houses. Reaction due on Thursday, quiz on Thursday. Don't worry, it's not that scary.

• We will discuss motifs, and how they can connect to a story's theme. We are building towards a reflective writing about the short story "Thank You M'am" which should happen early next week.

6th English

• Vocab activity is due on Thursday

• We will have a Nouns test on Monday, then begin talking about our second personal narrative. We will spend this week looking at examples of strong narrative writing, and will likely write our story next week.

    It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.
