Hello and welcome to my portfolio! My Name is Kayla Feigum, and I am graduating from Concordia College Moorhead, Minnesota in the spring of 2019. I will graduate with a bachelor's degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics with a minor in Psychology.

When growing up, I despised trying new foods. A "picky eater" was what family and friends would call me. Before graduating high school, I knew that I was inspired to achieve a career where I could help others, as it is a passion to do so. My mom works in the art department at Concordia, and came home telling me about a conversation she had with Betty Larson, Concordia dietetics professor, about a degree in nutrition and dietetics. After taking my first class from Dr. Larson, I saw myself practicing dietetics in my future. I began trying new foods and branching out my taste buds by learning how food can change one's life.

Concordia has given me unique experiences through practicing real life scenarios as a registered dietitian. Concordia's remarkable education has motivated me to critically think how nutrition is critical for our health. I strive to work towards my long term goal, which is to work as a clinical dietitian.

I am thrilled to gain knowledge with this profession, as there are limitless opportunities being a RD, all with the same goal, to lead individuals to a healthy lifestyle through nutrition.
