Paloma Vigil is a senior in the IB academy. She is graduating from Coral Reef soon to attend Yale University in the fall, and to achieve her goal of becoming an international CEO or obtaining a career in the foreign service field. Throughout the years, as a student in Coral Reef, she had important experiences and has gathered some noteworthy advice to give to other students. She said, “If I could change one thing about my high school experience, I would probably tell myself to stress less and live in the moment more.” She also believes that it is important not to change yourself just to please others, and that instead, you should get a couple of close friends that you love and cherish. One of her friends in particular, Malena, pushed her to be the best student possible, and still does that to this day. Paloma has also played an important part in the school, as she is on Baitline, the school newspaper, is part of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society, the Holocaust Impact Theater, the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and Best Buddies, and is a level ten gymnast who has competed for fourteen years. To continue, she has won many awards including: National AP Scholar, Hispanic Scholarship Fund, AP Scholar with Distinction, Florida State Level 10 Gymnastics Championship Qualifier, Region 8 Level 10 Gymnastics Qualifier, and is a Silver Knight Nominee. In summary, Paloma has outstanding achievements at Coral Reef, and will continue to accomplish even more throughout her life.
