Krystal Rodriguez, a senior in the VPA academy, has spent the last four years studying art and training in cross-country and track and field. As her time comes to a close, she has some important things to tell Cudas about her high school experience. Rodriguez states that it is very essential to find the right friend group early on. She was clearly successful in this, as she states that the person who impacted her high school experience the most was one of her closest friends, Austin Redondo. Redondo recently graduated, but she said that he taught her several important life lessons and is very grateful for him. She also wishes she knew that the end of her high school years would be spent online. Consequently, her largest piece of advice is to “enjoy it while it lasts and don’t take those fun moments for granted.” Once she graduates, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and study applied exercise science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. Her biggest dream is to run professionally and make it all the way to the Olympics. In short, Coral Reef will miss Krystal very much and she is an exemplary role model for all students.
