The Lady Hornet tennis program has enjoyed tremendous success during recent years, winning four region championships in a five year span, and advancing deep into the state playoffs each season since 2012.

Making the jump from AA to AAAA in classification, the Lady Hornets surprised many by winning the first team championship in school history. After an early 2-3 setback to Crisp County, the Lady Hornets won 12 consecutive region matches, including three at the region tournament to capture the crown. The Lady Hornets topped Crisp County 3-1 in the region finals. Riding momentum from the win, Cook advanced to the Elite Eight of the state tournament, losing a tough 2-3 decision to West Laurens.

In their second season in AAAA, the Lady Hornets defended their region championship and extended their region winning streak to 18 matches. The championship did not come without drama, as the Lady Hornets defeated tournament host Bainbridge 3-2 to capture the title. With the match tied 2-2, the doubles team of Shelby Griffin and Brooklyn Walk won in a third set to capture the second consecutive championship for the Lady Hornets. The season ended with a loss to North Hall in the second round of the state AAAA playoffs.

After a heartbreaking loss to Crisp County in the 2017 region finals, the Lady Hornets reestablished their claim to the region championship with an undefeated run to the title, including a 3-2 victory over tournament host Crisp County.

In the first season with the new region format that saw the Region Tournament scrapped, and saw each team play each other three times, the Lady Hornets completed another undefeated region schedule in capturing the program's fourth region championship in a five year span.
